Day 1: Thursday, February 2012
Yes it is a Thursday in February. Why am I starting my diet and exercises today? Well, why not? After all if you keep saying "I'm gonna start on Monday" you will never get anywhere. Monday rolls around and you have a Monday! you don't feel like doing anything especially exercise! You have a bad day and all you want is chocolate. So why not start while you feel motivated? Why didn't I start in January?? Its all about motivation, I knew I wanted to get in shape in year, I wanted to take this year and work on me. January just wasn't a very motivational month for me. I was wishing I could change things rather then actually trying. This month is different!
Breakfast:
All I had today was a bottle of water and a small pancake, just plain.
Exercise:
I went for about an hour run. Rested for about 5 minutes and tried again. My feet and legs hurt so I came inside. It is the first day, Ill get better as I go.
The first time is always the worst!! Pace yourself -- don't overdo it the first time or your body won't want to go again! Tell yourself you're going to run up to the next power pole and then you'll walk for 10 seconds. And then next time, run a little longer and walk a little shorter. Before you know it, when your feet hit the pavement it's an instant motivation to start running. Believe me. Been there, went through it! If you need me, text me :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and buying good running shoes would make a world of difference. I prefer Nike or Vibram FiveFinger (They look hilarious, but you'd be surprised how much different they make you run!) but it's really just what you like best on your foot.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Every little bit helps! Valentines Day kinda messed me up on eating heathly so i guess I get to start over tomorrow. I found new motivation (: haha I really need to get some running shoes... I wore converse the first day because thats the best shoe i own unless i want to run in boots or heels (not gonna happen!) so my feet were KILLING me, not very good motivation to go a second day! lol I just now got this, so the blog was kind of a fail too :/ oh well! But thanks! Maybe we can hang out some and you can give me some recipes that you made thats heathly! Id really like to start cooking some things like that, for me and my family! (: I think it would be fun to hang out sometime, I really need a girls night!! I like getting to know new people so maybe one night we could get a few girls and hang out (: anyways! Just text me sometime if you want!! (:
